Qualifications

  • Five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Must have earned the IIA-AIC designation and be actively pursuing another professional insurance designation.
  • Appropriate adjuster license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Handles complex losses locally unassisted.
  • Examines claim form and other records to determine insurance coverage.
  • Interviews claimants and witnesses regarding claims.
  • Inspects property damage to determine extent of company's liability.
  • Prepares report of findings and negotiates settlement with claimants.

Strong oral and written communication
PC literacy, including Microsoft Office

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
IIA-AIC designation
