Job summary

WSP Canada is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to join the GeoAnalytics and Mapping team in Vancouver. You will support diverse projects worldwide, providing GIS expertise, creating maps, and managing geospatial data within ArcGIS Online/Enterprise.

The role demands 10+ years of GIS experience with ESRI products, strong cartography, QA/QC leadership, and collaboration across disciplines. English/French bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Advanced GIS education or equivalent experience in GIS roles.
• 10+ years of GIS experience focused on ESRI products and workflows.
• Strong cartographic design and standards adherence.
• QA/QC leadership ensuring data quality and accuracy.
• Client liaison capable of managing internal/external relationships.
• Lead GIS components on moderately to highly complex projects.
• Effective communication and teamwork across disciplines.
• Experience with spatial data management, QA/QC, and workflow automation.
• Bilingual EN/FR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers and consultants.
• Produce technical 2D maps, figures and posters for proposals and reports.
• Organize data using ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Develop and implement GIS solutions and geospatial databases.
• Mentor and train junior staff; share knowledge across the team.
• Lead QA/QC processes and ensure adherence to standards.
• Translate client needs into GIS workflows and deliverables.
• Provide expert GIS guidance for scoping and proposals.
