Job summary

William Osler Health System in Brampton, ON, is seeking a full-time Geriatric Medicine physician to join the Division of Seniors Health. The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient geriatric care, participate in an OHIP-fee-for-service model, and contribute to program redesign with a multi-disciplinary team.

You will lead geriatric outreach, collaborate with NP-led teams, and support academic affiliations with regional medical schools.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
• Certification in Geriatric Medicine from the College of Physicians of Canada or Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine (Royal College) preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are assets).

Responsibilities

• Rotation comprises inpatient on-call coverage at Osler’s two acute sites and outpatient clinic services to six sub-specialized geriatric clinics.
• Provide clinical leadership to the Geriatric Outreach Team and the NP-led outreach to long-term care homes.
