Our client, a leading international engineering and construction firm with a strong presence across Canada and globally, are looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to their Toronto office.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing geotechnical team and contribute to major rail transit infrastructure projects including high-speed rail, metro, LRT, streetcars, and subway extensions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead geotechnical numerical modelling tasks including data evaluation and engineering analysis.
  • Scope and assist in implementing field programs for data collection.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Complete design analyses for rail and transit infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and present geotechnical numerical analysis reports.
  • Review structural and civil plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct soil and materials testing to determine adequacy for foundations, concrete, asphalt, and steel.
  • Mentor junior engineers and present findings to clients, stakeholders, and expert review panels.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
  • 10–12 years of practical experience in civil and geotechnical engineering.
  • Proven experience on rail and transit projects.
  • Strong background in geotechnical design, excavation works, foundations, tunnelling, and related areas.
  • Proficiency in engineering modelling software (e.g., Plaxis, SAP2000, GeoStudio).
  • Independent, proactive, and capable of leading tasks while collaborating in a team setting.
