Job summary

Wesdome Gold Mines is seeking a Senior Geologist – Surface Exploration for the Eagle River Mine in Ontario. You will oversee surface exploration programs, drilling, core logging, and data governance while supporting NI 43-101/JORC reporting.

The role requires leadership, field effectiveness, and a strong safety mindset. The position offers 12-hour shifts on a 14 days on/14 days off rotation, with a comprehensive compensation package and camp facilities.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Geochemical, or another relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in grassroots to advanced exploration.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day execution of surface drill programs, ensuring alignment with approved plans, data quality standards, and production priorities.
• Meet with drill supervisors every morning to establish and maintain communication lines.
• Generate and constantly review exploration targets in collaboration with the management team.
• Ensure safe execution of drill programs to deliver corporate strategy and targets.
• Contribute to the design and optimization of drill programs in collaboration with the exploration manager and superintendent.
• Supervise core logging to maintain data accuracy and quality.
