Job summary

Krafton Montréal is seeking a Senior Writer to craft compelling narratives for a AAA third-person RPG project. You will develop the storyline, characters, and universe in collaboration with designers, artists, and programmers to ensure a cohesive and immersive player experience.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years in game writing, a track record on at least one shipped AAA title, and strong English-language storytelling skills.

Qualifications

• Over 4 years of professional writing experience, including published works or shipped games.
• Contributed to the release of at least one AAA game as lead or senior writer.
• Experience across all stages of AAA game development.
• Strong storytelling to engage players with immersive narratives.
• Excellent understanding of narrative design and dialogue impact on gameplay.
• Adapt writing to different genres, mechanics, and formats.

Responsibilities

• Research to shape story, characters, and context.
• Collaborate with editorial team to create concise content in appropriate tone.
• Work with other departments to influence all narrative aspects of the game.
• Write game scripts and associated content: world descriptions, character sheets, casting docs.
• Ensure narrative references are up-to-date and accessible to teams.
• Direct voice recordings to ensure narrative consistency and character integrity.
