Job summary

Pixomondo in Montreal, QC is seeking a Senior FX Artist to lead fluid and smoke simulations using Houdini. You will contribute to water, blood, and gaseous effects, delivering photoreal FX for film and TV productions.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of FX experience in a production setting, proficiency in Houdini and Maya, solid knowledge of physics-based simulations, and the ability to work both in a team and independently in a fast-paced environment. English fluency required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of FX Artist experience in a production environment.
• Familiar with Houdini and Maya; ability to simulate fluids, smoke and gas.
• Creative and artistic with good understanding of physical phenomena.
• Able to work in a team and independently; proactive problem solving.
• Experience with compositing, shading and programming is a plus.
