Job summary

ZayZoon is seeking a Senior Developer to own features end-to-end—from backend architecture to frontend delivery, testing, and demonstrations. You’ll ship features, ensure performance, and maintainability in a fully remote environment across Canada and the U.S.

You’ll design scalable solutions, tackle concurrency, integrate third‑party tools, and collaborate with Product, Customer Care, and Finance to deliver real value to employees and clients.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on Ruby on Rails experience with production applications.
• Strong front-end fundamentals and experience with React or React Native.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills for diagnosing performance and production behavior.
• Solid engineering fundamentals: SOLID, domain-driven design, tested code.
• Full-stack ownership from backend to frontend, automated tests, and demos.
• Experience with scale and concurrency challenges: queuing and data ingestion.
• Agile fluency: sprint planning, stand-ups, story grooming.
• Ability to balance speed and maintainability across MVPs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core web and mobile features from back end to front end, owning delivery.
• Tackle complex engineering problems with data-driven solutions.
• Integrate and maintain third-party tools and services for reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Care, and Finance to scope features and resolve issues.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Leverage AI to streamline processes and reduce friction.
• Maintain a secure, well-structured SDLC with maintainable, tested code.
