Job summary

Nöord Technologies Corporation in Montreal is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to lead front-end with React/TypeScript and to support back-end with C# .NET Core in a capital markets context.

You will design and optimize real-time UI components, collaborate with global teams across NA/Europe/Asia, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while adopting SOLID, TDD/BDD, and high performance standards. Hybrid Montreal location, 12-month contract with potential transition.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• 7–8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level React and TypeScript with Redux; strong front-end design.
• Proven production experience in C# / .NET Core backend development and API design.
• Hands-on experience with SignalR, Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, ELK, and Git in distributed environments.
• Strong Software Craftsmanship mindset (SOLID design, Clean Code, TDD/BDD, automated testing).
• Fluent English is mandatory; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

Senior Full-Stack Developer / React Front-End Expert

At Nöord Technologies, we empower top-tier financial institutions with exceptional talent in banking and capital markets. For the needs of one of our prestigious clients, a major banking actor in Montreal currently experiencing strong growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer / React Front-End Lead (with strong C# Backend expertise).

About the Role

As part of an elite Capital Markets technology team, you will take ownership of mission-critical, data-intensive systems used in real time by global trading desks to track risk exposure and manage interest rate curves .

This role is heavily focused on the front end (approximately 70% Front-End / 30% Back-End) . We are looking for a true React and TypeScript expert capable of designing complex, highly responsive, and high-performance user interfaces . In parallel, you must possess solid, hands-on experience in C# .NET Core backend development to actively support backend teammates and ensure seamless end-to-end integration across services .

Key Responsibilities

Design, architect, and develop responsive, high-performance UI components using TypeScript and React for real-time trading applications .

Actively collaborate on server-side microservices and APIs in C# .NET Core alongside the dedicated backend engineering team .

Optimize render performance, state management, and real-time streaming data pipelines using SignalR, WebSockets, and Redux .

Provide Tier-3 technical support and assistance to North American trading desks during active afternoon market sessions .

Maintain and enhance continuous integration and deployment pipelines (CI/CD) .

Champion software craftsmanship standards: clean architecture, SOLID principles, comprehensive unit testing, and BDD practices .

Coordinate and communicate effectively across international, multi-disciplinary delivery teams in North America, Europe, and Asia .

Requirements

Requirements & Candidate Profile

Education & Experience: Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent field) with at least 7 to 8+ years of professional software engineering experience .

Front-End Mastery: Recognized expert-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, Redux, asynchronous workflows, and modern web state management (Angular experience alone is insufficient) .

Back-End Competency: Proven production experience in C# / .NET Core development and API design .

Technical Stack: Hands-on experience with SignalR, Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, ELK, and Git in distributed environments .

Engineering Excellence: Strong Software Craftsmanship mindset (SOLID design, Clean Code, TDD/BDD, automated testing) .

Domain Expertise: Prior background in Capital Markets, Corporate & Investment Banking, or front-office trading systems (Rates, Pricing, Risk) is strongly preferred .

Language Skills: Fluent English is mandatory for global team collaboration ; French is a valuable asset / nice to have

Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid model).

Contract Term: Initial 12-month contract (renewable, with potential transition to a permanent role).

Start Date: ASAP .

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (valid Canadian work permit, permanent residency, or citizenship).
