Overview

We're seeking a Full Stack Developer to help build and scale our decarbonization platform from the ground up. You’ll play a critical role in shaping both the architecture and the user experience, working closely with design, product, and climate domain experts to bring powerful tools to life.

The ideal candidate is a pragmatic problem-solver with a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end technologies. You’re comfortable working across the stack, excited to ship quickly, and experienced in navigating the dynamic, fast-paced nature of an early-stage startup.

Responsibilities

You will be joining an eager and focused team of 3-5 engineers and data scientists bringing the Adaptis core product to market. This role will be putting ground breaking carbon reduction AI & ML into the hands of our users. You will be expected to build and own end-to-end products across our stack. We iterate quickly, adapting to our user needs, and our development efforts reflect that.

This role requires individual ownership, a growth mindset, as well as mentoring and bringing best practices throughout our team.

You will need to be able to handle change, work in a fast paced environment, and take initiative.

Our stack is Node (with Express), React (with Vite), Python (with FastAPI) and MongoDB.

Background and Preferred Qualifications

• We are looking for engineers with 5+ years of experience to help us scale our product.
• Extensive experience delivering full-stack features in a fast-paced SaaS environment using Typescript, Node, React, and MongoDB
• Experience delivering backend services in Python with FastAPI
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Self-starting and entrepreneurial
• Passionate about building products
• Humble, honest, and still looking to grow (regardless of seniority)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

Location and Work Environment

We are a distributed, hybrid team working from different cities in Canada. It is preferred that candidates for this role be located in Toronto and available up to 80% in person in our downtown office.
