Job summary

CoLab Software is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to build integrations and platform capabilities that connect with CAD, PLM, ERP, and other enterprise systems.

You will work with cross-functional teams to translate real customer challenges into scalable software, maintaining robust APIs and delivering regular, high‑quality features. The role emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience with Git workflow, pull requests, and code reviews.
• 8+ years of professional, hands-on development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or C#.
• Experience with SaaS and large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

Mechanical engineering teams rely on a complex ecosystem of CAD, PLM, and enterprise systems to design, review, and manufacture products. At CoLab, we’re building software that fits naturally into those workflows

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you’ll play a key role in making that possible. You’ll build the integrations and platform capabilities that connect CoLab with the systems our customers use every day, helping engineering organizations review designs faster, collaborate more effectively, and make better decisions throughout the Mechanical Engineering Lifecycle

Responsibilities

• This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving technically challenging integration problems. Ideally you’ve spent your career building web applications and focused within heavy integrations
• You’ll work closely with Product, Design, Customer Success, and fellow engineers to translate real customer challenges into scalable software. One week you might be improving how CoLab integrates with a CAD application. The next, you could be investigating a complex customer workflow spanning PLM, ERP, and engineering data to eliminate friction for thousands of engineers
• Understand complex customer problems and requirements and work in a team to build a solution that adds value for the customer and the product as a whole
• Collaborate with other team members to design and plan complex scopes of work from product requirements and UI/UX designs
• Develop, test, and ship critical user‑facing features on a regular basis
• Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable APIs
• Participate in code reviews and help your team deliver high‑quality software
• Champion all aspects of the user’s experience, with a focus on clarity and speed
• Contribute to tech technology direction and best practices
• Mentor, support, and be an information source to junior developers

Qualifications

• Passion for working in teams with emphasis on respect and continuous improvement
• Experience with Git workflow (pull requests, code reviews)
• Consistent track record of building and maintaining highly scalable products
• Willingness to raise your hand when you see something could be done / built better
• Experience with version control, release management, and CI/CD workflows
• Exposure to Javascript/Typescript, Python, HTML and CSS is considered an asset
• Experience working on SaaS, large‑scale distributed systems
• 8+ years of professional, hands‑on development experience
• Proficient with Java and / or C#
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL databases (e.g.: DynamoDB) and querying frameworks/APIs
• Experience writing robust automated tests, including unit and integration tests using Jest, as well as end‑to‑end (E2E) tests using Cypress or Playwright
• Experience with front‑end build, package‑management & testing tools such as Webpack, NPM, Jest, Cypress, etc
