Description

Responsibilities:

Designing, developing and implementing front end code including user interface interactions and creating attractive and effective user interfaces

Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.

Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations

Required Skills:

· In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of the Angular framework and UX concepts

· Thorough knowledge of web markup, HTML 5, CSS, Bootstrap and UX concepts.

· Hands-on experience with RESTful API integration.

· Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards

· Understanding of modern architectural practices for cloud-based solutions.

· Proven experience applying software engineering best practices and architectural practices to agile product delivery.

· Extensive experience with building complex, API-based solutions and transactional systems.

· Experience with code version control systems (e.g. Git), DevOps practices, cloud delivery / deployment models, virtualization, and container solutions

· Experience with writing automated test scripts for unit, integration and end-to-end testing

· Actively contributed to all phases of software development life cycle (particularly focusing on agile methodologies).

· Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills

· Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications

Experience with middleware and gateways

Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing, debugging

Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues

Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team

Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards

Ability to provide user and system documentation as required

Technical Skills - 70%

· 3 yr+ Demonstrated experience working in front-end web development

· Extensive programming experience using Angular, TypeScript, Bootstrap, and Node

· Experience with tools like Redux, Webpack or Angular CLI

· Must have experience with consuming SOAP and RESTful APIs

· Must have hands-on experience with Git, SVN, Git Pull Request and branching strategy

· Must have hands-on experience with Swagger-UI, Postman, OAuth/JWT

· Experience with testing framework, e.g. Jasmine

· Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline, Docker are strong assets

· Working knowledge of SDLC and the Agile development methodology.

· Demonstrated knowledge and experience with RDBMS design concepts.

· Demonstrated experience in identifying risk and providing solutions.
