Job summary

Apexon is seeking an accomplished Senior Frontend Engineer in Toronto, Canada. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React.js and TypeScript, building reusable UI components and responsive interfaces.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA teams across the full development lifecycle, participate in code reviews, and drive performance improvements within CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React.js and TypeScript.
• Build reusable UI components and responsive user interfaces.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Frontend Development experience.
• Strong expertise in React.js and TypeScript.
• Experience integrating REST APIs.
• Experience working with Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and frontend best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Next.js or Vue.js.
• Automated testing using Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
