As ReelData continues to scale its technology and customer base, they are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to lead the development of their Operations Dashboard—the primary interface aquaculture operators use to understand and act on complex farm data. This is an opportunity for an experienced frontend developer who enjoys combining strong engineering fundamentals with product thinking and design.
You’ll work closely with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and customer‑facing teams to turn complex operational data into intuitive, reliable experiences used by customers in production. This role is remote within Nova Scotia, with occasional visits to ReelData's Dartmouth location and customer farm sites. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to support Nova Scotia‑based travel requirements.
The Opportunity As a Senior Frontend Developer, you’ll take meaningful ownership of both the technical development and user experience of ReelData's Operations Dashboard. You’ll work across workflows involving biomass, fish welfare, feeding, tank monitoring, and analytics, translating product requirements and customer feedback into polished, accessible interfaces. Beyond feature development, you’ll help shape frontend architecture, UX standards, component strategy, testing practices, and technical direction as the platform continues to evolve. This is a hands‑on role within a small, fast‑moving team where you’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, improve existing systems, and see the direct impact of your work on customers.
