Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience with road and cutblock layout within BC.
  • Experience in deflection analysis, SP data collection, and drafting.
  • Experience in riparian assessments, forest health, and surveys.

Cabin Resource Management Ltd. has a foundation built on experience, dedication to quality, and innovative solutions in forestry, heritage, wildfire planning, and resource analysis. We are currently looking to add a Mid-Level to Senior Forest Technician to our Forestry team.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the planning and layout of road and harvest systems
  • Manage all aspects of data in the field and office
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and client requirements
  • Supervise field activities and provide training to crew members

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Diploma or Degree in forestry or related field
  • Registered or eligible for registration with ABCFP as RPF or RFT (or working towards)
  • At least 4 years of experience with road and cutblock layout within BC
  • Experience using LiDAR data for planning and locating roads and cutblocks
  • Understanding of forest policy, guidelines, and BC regulations
  • Experience in steep slope layout, deflection analysis, SP data collection and drafting, riparian assessments, forest health, and surveys
