Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of ecological studies related to fisheries and aquatic ecosystems.
  • Analyze and interpret environmental data to assess baseline conditions and potential impacts from natural or human activities.
  • Author high-quality technical reports and present findings to clients, regulators, Indigenous groups, and stakeholders.
  • Support environmental assessments, Fisheries Act permitting , and fish habitat offsetting strategies.
  • Work within interdisciplinary teams to ensure scientific integrity and project excellence.
Qualifications
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Fisheries Science, Aquatic Ecology, or related discipline.
  • Registered Professional Biologist (R.P.Bio.) designation in BC, or eligible for registration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead or senior capacity within environmental consulting.
  • Proven experience in:
    • Technical writing and data reporting.
    • Regulatory processes, including Fisheries Act permitting.
    • Fish habitat assessment and offsetting (asset).
  • Strong time management, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and professional ethics.
