Placements24 is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer with deep expertise in Embedded Linux to join a fully remote team. You will architect, develop, and optimize firmware for complex embedded systems, including driver development, kernel customization, and application-level programming within Linux.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in firmware, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with Yocto/Buildroot and U-Boot.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional firmware development experience with a strong Embedded Linux focus.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming within a Linux environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel architecture, build systems (Yocto, Buildroot), and bootloaders (U-Boot).
• Experience with drivers for SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and networking interfaces.
• Familiarity with cross-compilation toolchains and debugging tools (GDB, JTAG).
• Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills using remote-work tools.
• Experience with Git version control.
