Job summary

Northland Power Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst based in Toronto to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, working closely with the financial team. Responsibilities include preparing consolidated financial statements and conducting technical accounting research.

The ideal candidate should have a CPA designation, deep IFRS knowledge, and at least 3 years of experience in financial reporting. The position offers a hybrid work model and a range of comprehensive benefits, including an RRSP matching scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting with a public/listed company.
• Deep understanding of IFRS and its application.
• Experience working with top-tier professional accounting firms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements based on IFRS.
• Assist in the preparation of MD&A on a quarterly basis.
• Research and prepare technical accounting memorandums.

Skills

Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)

Understanding of IFRS

3+ years of experience in auditing or accounting advisory

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education
