Job summary

Couche-Tard/Circle K is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A, Fuel in Laval, QC. You will provide financial analysis, reporting, modelling, and decision support across fuel retail, B2B, EV, and related operations.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Fuel Finance, you will deliver insights, support budgeting and forecasting, perform variance analyses, and help standardize KPIs across regions. Fluency in French and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or active pursuit of one, is an asset.
• 1–3 years of FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis, accounting, or a related finance role.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports across fuel retail, B2B, EV, and related commercial activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end performance review processes, ensuring data completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with fuel profitability analyses and provide clear insights into the factors driving business performance.
• Prepare variance analyses and commentary, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with finance, commercial, and operational teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and challenge results where appropriate.
• Support the standardization of KPIs, performance drivers, and reporting methodologies across business areas and regions.
• Build financial models, review business cases, and perform scenario analyses to support commercial and operational decisions.
• Support the development and maintenance of forecasting, planning, and performance management models.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including reporting automation, process improvements, and the adoption of new analytical tools.
• Work with Centres of Excellence and data teams to incorporate site, channel, and commercial performance drivers into planning models and dashboards.
• Support ad hoc financial analyses, projects, and management requests.

Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A, Fuel

THE ROLE

As a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A, Fuel, you will provide financial analysis, reporting, modelling, and decision support across fuel retail, B2B, EV, and related commercial operations. You will support budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and business case development, helping stakeholders understand business performance and make informed decisions.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Fuel Finance, you will deliver accurate financial insights, improve reporting, and contribute to the development of planning and performance management capabilities across the business.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Here is an overview of the main responsibilities of this position:

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Here is what we are looking for:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or active pursuit of one, is an asset.

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis, accounting, or a related finance role.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting processes.
• Experience working with large datasets and translating analysis into business insights.
• Experience in fuel retail, convenience retail, B2B, EV, logistics, or supply chain environments is an asset but is not required.

Knowledge and skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel, including financial modelling and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Ability to interpret complex data and clearly communicate findings to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
