We are partnering with a leading, fast‑paced Canadian manufacturer in Mississauga to find a highly capable Senior Financial Analyst. This crucial role will ensure financial data integrity, serve as a key resource for manufacturing costing, and provide hands‑on training and development in financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will lead critical standard costing, manage a Financial Analyst, and drive data integrity within the Epicor ERP system.

  • Epicor Kinetic & Systems Governance (Core Focus)
    • Serve as the proven super‑user and owner of the integrity, governance, and optimization of all financial data within the Epicor Kinetic ERP system.
  • System Optimization
    • Manage and execute system improvements, assist with data migrations, and drive automation projects to streamline data extraction and modeling.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Design and execute advanced financial reports and dashboards (e.g., margin, capital spend) directly within Epicor and related reporting tools.
  • Manufacturing Finance & Costing
    • Perform standard costing duties, ensuring the accuracy of all labor, overhead, and material inputs.
    • Oversee and perform detailed reviews of job costing, manufacturing variances, and work order closures to identify operational efficiencies.
    • Conduct profitability analysis for products and markets, providing actionable recommendations to management.
  • Financial Planning & Reporting
    • Actively participate in the preparation of the annual budget and detailed rolling forecasts, receiving training to build expertise in the end‑to‑end organizational planning process.
    • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and variance analysis, transforming complex data into clear commentary for the executive and operations teams.
    • Support complex financial modeling for strategic initiatives, including capital expenditures.
Qualifications
  • Mandatory: Proven super‑user or strong implementation experience with Epicor Kinetic ERP is essential (non‑negotiable).
  • Mandatory: A minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in an accounting or financial analysis role.
  • Mandatory: Demonstrable expertise in manufacturing accounting and variance analysis.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Core skills: Strong technical accounting skills, with a focus on cost management and internal controls.
  • Technical tools: Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools is highly desirable.
  • Fit and initiative: Must be a highly dependable professional who takes initiative, owns their tasks, and requires minimal hand‑holding.
  • Designations: CPA or MBA designation is an asset.
