This role contributes to the overall success of the organization by participating in the accounting operations and financial reporting process and reports directly to the Manager, Accounting and Financial Reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst should be results-driven, confident and have strong analytical, technology, communication and organizational skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for and performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

• Participate in the monthly financial close process with tight reporting deadlines, including the review of results and the preparation of financial reports (in accordance with IFRS)
• Participate in complex accounting files, such as lease accounting and FX hedging
• Participate in the budget & forecast process
• Participate in the development, documentation and implementation of internal financial and accounting policies and procedures, as well as internal controls
• Participate in salestax and corporate income tax filing process
• Support the annual audit and liaise with the external auditors as necessary
• Participate in special projects, such as M&A and ERP implementation

Qualifications

• 4-8 years’ experience related to the role, ideally in audit firms or publicly traded companies
• University degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business Administration
• CPA designation required
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
• Familiarity with indirect and direct tax regulations
• Advanced skill in Excel and experience with PowerBI is an asset
• Bilingual (English and French), both verbal and written
