Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong accounting or financial analysis experience in project-based or corporate environments.

• Ability to prepare preliminary tax information and calculations and communicate with external tax advisors.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders and external advisors.
• CPA designation or progress toward a CPA is an asset.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Support financial activities related to ongoing development and construction projects.

• Support monthly corporate income tax requirements, including gathering financial information and preparing preliminary calculations.
• Maintain an understanding of corporate tax payment and instalment requirements.
• Work closely with external tax advisors to provide supporting information, respond to requests, and help ensure deadlines are met.
• Assist with financial reporting, accounting analysis, reconciliations, and other ad hoc finance initiatives.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, and overall financial efficiency.

What You Bring

• Strong accounting or financial analysis experience, ideally with exposure to project-based or corporate environments.
• Experience preparing or reviewing financial information and analyzing costs, variances, and supporting documentation.
• Working knowledge of corporate income tax concepts and requirements.
• Ability to prepare preliminary tax information and calculations and communicate effectively with external tax advisors.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders and external advisors.
• CPA designation or progress toward a CPA is an asset.
