Job description

Manufacturing Client | On-site | Senior (5+ years)

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior Financial Analyst with a global manufacturer specializing in advanced electrical and energy transmission technologies, you will play a pivotal role in driving the Finance function within a manufacturing environment. Working independently and in close partnership with the Controlling team, sales, operations, and leadership, you will own high-visibility deliverables and lead process-improvement and automation initiatives that make the finance function faster, smarter, and more impactful.

Objectives of This Role
  • Deliver comprehensive financial insights to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
  • Guide financial decision-making by applying company policies and procedures to current economic and commercial conditions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust financial controls, dashboards, and reporting standards.
  • Meet budgeting and forecasting objectives through effective scheduling, analysis, and corrective action.
  • Lead automation and continuous improvement efforts across finance workflows.
What We Are Looking For
  • A process-improvement mindset — always looking for a smarter, faster way to get things done.
  • A clear communicator who can translate financial data into actionable insight for non-finance audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • A self-starter who takes ownership of deliverables and manages their time effectively.
  • A collaborative team player who builds trust with cross-functional partners in sales, operations, and leadership.
Your Tasks
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans.
  • Design, build, and maintain management dashboards and reporting packs that deliver clear performance insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Controlling team to establish financial and operational benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a biweekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Play a significant role in the formulation of company budgets, ensuring expenses align with projected revenue.
Month-End Close & Controls
  • Manage the month-end close process, including creating accruals, posting journal entries, and preparing balance sheet and P&L working papers.
  • Ensure internal safeguards for revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to optimize the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Assist in month-end close activities including accruals, reforecasting, and commentary preparation.
Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify and lead automation opportunities across finance workflows, including reporting, data extraction, and reconciliation tasks.
  • Extract, transform, and analyze data from SAP to support month-end closing, variance reporting, and ad hoc business requests.
  • Implement cost control measures and optimize financial processes to enhance overall efficiency and profitability.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as directed by the Head of Finance.
Commercial & Business Partnering
  • Partner with sales and commercial teams to support pricing decisions, deal structuring, customer profitability analysis, and revenue forecasting.
  • Analyze manufacturing cost drivers, including material, labor, and overhead, and communicate findings clearly to non-finance audiences.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support business cases, capex requests, and strategic initiatives.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, or a similar analytical role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO modules preferred); ability to run queries and extract data independently.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in dashboard and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and departments.
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified CPA is an advantage, though not required.
We Offer
  • The opportunity to gain practical experience in advanced electrical and energy transmission technologies at an innovative, global manufacturing organization.
  • The chance to work in a motivated team on forward-looking projects, with exposure to the latest technologies and manufacturing finance practices.
  • A collaborative, inclusive culture that values ownership, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
