The Group Retirement Services (GRS) Finance team is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to enable effective management decision-making, working in partnership with our business partners in GRS and the Client Solutions Center (CSC), as well as other Business Units in Canada, including Canadian Finance.
The Senior Financial Analyst will oversee all expense management functions for the CSC and assist with GRS analysis. This includes completion of the monthly/quarterly expense reporting deliverables, playing a key role in the expense planning/forecast process, coordinating the yearly budget, and providing ad-hoc expense related analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst will also be instrumental in providing business and financial insights. Responsibilities include Client profitability management (Cost to Serve model), determining the financial viability of strategic initiatives, leading expense benchmarking and studies, creation of dashboards and reports, and ad hoc requests.
This role provides high exposure to all functional units in GRS and the CSC. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, both verbal and written. They must have strong relationship building, an inquisitive mindset to draw financial insight, and critical thinking skills. Additionally, the candidate is expected to be flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, challenging the status quo while respecting others, and maintaining a positive work environment.
