THE ROLE

The Financial Analyst will provide key financial support for manufacturing operations and corporate reporting. This role involves analyzing production costs, monitoring financial performance, and preparing detailed reports to support strategic decision-making. The analyst will collaborate with operations and corporate teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve efficiency, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, Forecasts and budget (SPBP)
  • Analyze financial data and develop insights to drive business decisions, with a focus on financial and manufacturing accounting concepts. Includes periodic analysis of financial information and modelling to support business decisions and strategic planning
  • Organize monthly review meetings to discuss the financial performance of the business and recommend actions. From these meetings, conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions and strategic planning
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data. Work with leadership teams to prepare the manufacturing and corporate facility’s budgets and three-year strategic plan, meeting corporate and divisional requirements and deadlines (Bottom-up approach)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, leveraging knowledge of financial and manufacturing accounting concepts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in standard costing, in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in financial analysis
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience is required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in financial accounting
  • Preference will be given to those who have implemented a standard costing system
  • A team player with excellent people skills, knowing when to listen and when to speak up
  • Self-motivated individual
  • Effective at multi-tasking
  • Action oriented quick paced individual with a sense of urgency
  • Good problem-solving abilities
