Senior Finance Business Partner (Head Office, Calgary, AB)

You will act as a trusted financial advisor to our branch leaders, translating financial insights into actionable strategies that drive performance and unlock value.

A Day in the Life
  • Lead the strategic coordination and oversight of budget and forecast processes across multiple branches and business units
  • Own the interpretation and communication of complex financial results, identifying key trends and insights to inform executive decision‑making
  • Develop and present robust, executive‑ready financial reporting packages for senior leadership
  • Drive the preparation and enhancement of monthly management reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals
  • Act as a key financial advisor to senior leaders, influencing strategic direction and operational performance
  • Foster cross‑functional collaboration and mentor junior team members to elevate organizational financial acumen
  • Deliver impactful, forward‑looking analysis and recommendations to support corporate initiatives
  • Strengthen and streamline financial data processes to optimize accuracy and efficiency in reporting
  • Proactively identify, scope, and execute complex ad hoc analyses aligned with organizational priorities
  • Contribute to enterprise‑wide financial strategy and participate in leadership‑level discussions
  • Provide guidance and oversight for regulatory, audit, and compliance‑related financial activities

What You Bring to Long View
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, accounting, or FP&A
  • Proven leadership in driving financial strategy, forecasting accuracy, and cross‑department alignment
  • Advanced proficiency with financial modeling and scenario planning
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with ability to engage and influence executives
  • Strong ability to operate with agility under tight deadlines and in complex environments
  • Mastery of the MS Office suite, with advanced Excel capabilities and polished PowerPoint delivery
  • Expertise in D365 and experience leveraging Power BI/Power Query for storytelling and visualization
  • Familiarity with Solver and other analytics tools considered a strong asset
  • CPA designation or equivalent preferred
