A leading dental research centre in Outram, Canada, is seeking a research support professional to assist in overseeing and implementing various research programmes and initiatives. Candidates should possess a degree in relevant fields and have strong communication, presentation, and writing skills. Experience in budget preparation and stakeholder engagement is preferred, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
You will support the Senior Assistant Director, Research and Senior Manager, Research to oversee and implement the research programmes and initiatives of the National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS) and the Oral Health Academic Clinical Program (ORH ACP) in the following areas:
Assist Principal Investigators in administrative matters
Formulate, maintain and implement research-related policies and standard operating procedures
Correspond with relevant research agencies (e.g. A*STAR, NTU, NUS) and other internal and external stakeholders (e.g. MOH)
Facilitate key performance indicators tracking
Handle incident reporting for lab and work-related incidents
IT and lab assets/inventory tracking
Lab safety and point of contact for lab audits
Performance of secretariat role in meetings and events
Dissemination of grant call and application forms
Coordination of grant applications and management of awarded grants
Gather and compile research metrics from clinicians and researchers
Monitor grant budget, cashflow projections, grant utilization and variations
Draft progress reports and presentations
Degree in Life Science, Biological Science, Biomedical Engineering or other related discipline
Experience in corresponding with external stakeholders is preferred.
Experience with budget preparation and KPls reporting to agencies would be advantageous.
Meticulous and responsive with excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.
Able to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines.
