Senior Executive / Assistant Manager, Workplace Safety and Health

About the Role

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment in our ambulatory care and outpatient healthcare setting. This role involves implementing and monitoring workplace safety and health (WSH) systems while ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations and alignment with organizational frameworks. You will play a key role in strengthening institutional ownership of WSH and supporting the development of a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and align WSH/OHS policies and procedures with institutional, cluster, and national standards
  • Ensure compliance with WSH Act, Fire Safety Act, and healthcare safety regulations
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Investigate workplace incidents and prepare reports for management and regulators
  • Conduct WSH/OHS Committee briefings and staff training programs
  • Organize emergency drills and promote safety awareness through campaigns
  • Support WSH/OHS Committee activities and liaise with departmental Champions
  • Analyze safety data and identify trends to refine preventive strategies
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Health Sciences, or related field
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
  • Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and ISO 45001 internal auditor certifications preferred
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in healthcare or equivalent high-risk setting
  • Strong knowledge of WSH regulations and healthcare safety standards
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
