A leading engineering firm in Montreal is looking for a Senior Engineer – Quality Assurance to develop and enhance quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 10+ years of experience, and strong leadership and communication skills in French. This position involves direct participation in product design and compliance audits, ensuring the highest standards in aerospace manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • 10 or more years’ experience in quality assurance engineering.
  • Experience with manufacturing complex machined parts, electromechanical assemblies or PCBs.
  • Familiarity with AS 9100 quality standards and aerospace work standards.

Overview

Join our team in Montreal as a Senior Engineer – Quality Assurance within our Satellite Systems division and take part in innovative projects that push the boundaries of space technology!

Your upcoming mission

The position involves developing, implementing, maintaining and improving quality assurance processes to meet customer requirements.

What you will be doing
  • Participate in product design by reviewing drawings and technical change notices.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications by reviewing and approving work instructions, processes and inspection points on production orders.
  • Provide interpretations of acceptance criteria and optimize the control plan.
  • Coordinate problem‑solving and corrective actions upon detection of non‑conformities with purchasing, production, design and other engineering disciplines.
  • Perform process and product compliance audits both internally and with suppliers.
  • Ensure effective corrective actions.
  • Analyze data and performance indicators, identify improvement potential and lead continuous improvement projects.
What you must have
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an interest in manufacturing complex machined parts, electromechanical assemblies or PCBs.
  • 10 or more years’ experience.
  • Ability to exercise leadership in his/her discipline.
  • Good communication skills in French.
  • Collaborative spirit and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5), AS 9100 quality standards and aerospace work standards is also a job requirement.
  • Computer skills (word processing and electronic calculation applications) are also required.
Nice to have
  • Auditor training.
  • Training in quality engineering and/or continuous improvement (APQP, CQE, Six sigma, etc.).
Other Information
Schedule
  • Daytime training: Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:00
  • Evening shift: Monday to Thursday 14:30 to 00:30
  • Weekend shift: Friday to Sunday 07:00 to 18:30
Salary/Rate Range

$75,000 – $130,000 annually
