Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Bio-medical Engineering department with commissioning, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic biomedical equipment.
- Commission incoming simple biomedical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in equipment by making adjustments, alterations, repairs or parts replacements.
- Assist supervisor in coordinating all service and repair activities of the section, including setting work priorities for staff, assigning work and monitoring work accuracy, completeness and safety.
- Assist supervisor in overseeing equipment service contracts ensuring contractors fulfil their contractual obligations.
- Develop tender specifications for equipment, participate in pre-purchase tender and equipment evaluation, and advise the hospital on the selection of suitable equipment.
- Communicate with users on service activities affecting them, including scheduled maintenance, repairs, commissioning, user training and user satisfaction feedback.
- Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned.
