Job summary

SOGECLAIR is seeking an EMC engineer to lead electromagnetic compatibility activities for aerospace programs in Canada. You will define, analyze, and validate EMC performance from design through certification and in-service support.

Responsibilities include performing advanced EMC analyses, planning activities, and reviewing key deliverables while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Strong aerospace EMC experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of EMC experience in aerospace (systems/structures).
• Strong knowledge of RTCA/DO-160 and SAE ARP standards and airworthiness regs.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• French language is an asset.
• Experience on aircraft development programs and EM simulation assets.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced EMC analyses (EMI, HIRF, LIRF, lightning, electrostatics) using simulations and analytical methods.
• Define and plan EMC activities for engineering projects, identifying risks and priorities.
• Review and approve test plans, analysis reports and test reports for certification requirements.
• Support EMC requirements development at aircraft, system and structural levels.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and interns; contribute to process improvements.
