Algo Communication Products Ltd. is seeking an Electronics Hardware Engineer in Burnaby, BC, to design and develop PCB schematics, layouts, and analog/digital circuits for audio and communication products.

You will collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams to bring prototypes into operation and ensure design quality. Responsibilities include prototype bring-up, design reviews, and creating verification and production test plans.

Formación

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on hardware engineering experience with schematic capture, circuit design, and multi-layer PCB layout.
• Strong analog and digital circuit design with emphasis on signal integrity, power distribution, and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer and bench test equipment.
• Capability to collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop PCB schematics, layouts, and analog and digital circuits for audio and communication products.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to integrate hardware and bring prototypes online.
• Bring up, test, and commission prototype boards, including bench soldering and hardware rework as needed.
• Review datasheets, select parts for new designs, and evaluate alternatives by performance, cost, and supply chain.
• Conduct design reviews, troubleshoot hardware issues, and improve reliability and performance.
• Document designs, decisions, schematics, and engineering specifications.
• Develop test plans for design verification and production testing, including automated test jigs.
• Perform board re-spins and revisions for features, reliability, and cost reductions.
• Evaluate emerging hardware technologies and apply practical design solutions.
• Own hardware deliverables and milestones, communicating progress and risks.
