Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions in Toronto is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer focused on QA/QC to lead technical reviews of electrical building systems across design and construction phases. You will mentor designers, ensure code compliance, and help improve engineering standards within a collaborative consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical building systems design or consulting engineering, including QA/QC responsibilities.
• P.Eng. designation or eligibility for registration is asset.
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, grounding, life safety, emergency power, and low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings, design specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and electrical engineering analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical QA/QC reviews for electrical building systems projects throughout all design and construction phases.
• Review and validate drawings, specifications, calculations, BIM models for accuracy, constructability, coordination, and code compliance.
• Provide technical guidance related to power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, life safety, emergency power, and low-voltage systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design issues and improve project quality.
• Support development of engineering standards, QA/QC procedures, templates, and best practices.
• Participate in BIM-based design workflows and coordination meetings.
