Job summary

Modern Niagara is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead complex electrical projects, control budgets and coordinate labour, purchasing, and scheduling. You will communicate with general contractors and owners to ensure profitable, on-time delivery and client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes financial forecasting, change orders, and maintaining strong client relationships while advancing technical knowledge and professional growth within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a project management role within ICI electrical construction.
  • Ability to interpret site and building plans and specifications.
  • Strong prioritization under deadlines.
  • Proven leadership with external clients.
  • Knowledge of contract terms and IBEW.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in estimating turnover and preconstruction meetings as required.
  • Manage labour on assigned projects with direction from the electrical operations manager.
  • Complete monthly financial forecasting reports and attend PSR meetings.
  • Review contracts for scope, productivity, quality, and costs to meet company objectives.
  • Participate in client and construction meetings and relay information to crews and subs.
  • Manage all change order pricing in Accubid database.
  • Develop strong relationships with field, estimating and operations teams.
  • Pursue ongoing professional and technical development.

Overview of Responsibilities:
  • Participate in estimating turnover meetings and preconstruction meetings as required.
  • Manage labour on assigned projects with the support and direction of the electrical operations manager.
  • Complete monthly financial forecasting reports for all assigned projects and attend project status review (PSR) meetings.
  • Review contracts for scope, maintain productivity, quality, and costs and ensure the projects are completed in a manner that supports the overall strategic and operational objectives of the company.
  • Participate in client and construction meetings as required and disseminate information to our work force and subcontractors.
  • Manage all change order pricing in Accubid database.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the field, estimating and operations teams.
  • Willing to advance both professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and seminars, review professional publications, establish a personal network of industry peers, and be highly motivated to benchmark state-of-the-art practices.
Must haves
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a project management role within ICI electrical construction.
  • Ability to interpret site and building plans and specifications.
  • Can successfully prioritize tasks based on demand and deadlines.
  • Results and solutions-oriented individual.
  • Experienced with, and a willingness to train and mentor team members.
  • A track recordthat clearly demonstrates effective leadershipwhen interacting with multiple external clients.
  • Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
  • Working knowledge of the IBEW.
  • Fundamental understanding of project financial controls.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
  • Ability to work autonomously with frequent travel to site locations.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • General understanding of Project Controls, QA / QC as well as Health and Safety practices / requirements.
  • Committed team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

This is a new position and the salary range is between $104,000 - $128,000
