Job summary

A leading materials company is seeking a Senior Electrical / HV Engineer in Montreal to provide technical support for power systems at smelters. Responsibilities include establishing engineering standards and building staff relationships. Candidates should have at least a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, extensive experience, and strong English and French communication skills. Opportunities for travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Min 10 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer / Practitioner.
• Min 5 years’ experience in an Electrical Engineering Leadership role.
• Smelting reliability experience is highly desirable.
• Multi-location / Global experience in technical Reliability leadership role.
• Flexibility for some traveling up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Establish Maintenance and Engineering standards for power systems.
• Build relationships to support Maintenance and Engineering objectives.
• Provide expert input into Power Systems Asset performance.
• Deploy best practice reliability frameworks and tools.
• Conduct periodic evaluation of Systems Asset Integrity.
