Job summary

Grantek, a leading provider of automation and industrial IT solutions, is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Designer with strong electrical design and control systems expertise. You will own diverse design assignments, specify hardware, and develop technical documentation while guiding junior designers.

You will work on projects for Fortune 100 clients, travel to sites, and contribute to safety and quality standards while expanding Grantek's engineering capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 6+ years of experience in electrical control system design
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Mentoring and guiding less experienced designers
• Willingness to travel 30–50%

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze and specify electrical control systems and associated hardware
• Lead documentation development including functional specifications
• Perform risk assessments, procurement oversight and panel fabrication specs
• Troubleshoot installations and complete commissioning summaries
• Carry out technical surveys and prepare reports
• Generate contractor schedules, bids and site walkthroughs
• Monitor on-site subcontractors for safety, quality and budget
• Mentor less experienced designers regularly
• Travel 30–50% to project sites and clients
