Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior BIM Electrical Designer to lead innovative electrical and lighting design projects across the GTA and Southwestern Ontario. You will contribute to future-focused digital delivery within our Mechanical & Electrical group and guide Revit-based BIM teams to improve efficiency.

The role emphasizes advanced BIM modeling, standards compliance, and cross‑regional collaboration to deliver transportation infrastructure solutions that shape communities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Electrical and Lighting design experience in a consulting office.
• Strong proficiency in Revit 3D modeling and BIM workflows (ACC, add-ins).
• Experience supporting BIM standards and design automation initiatives.
• Ability to mentor Revit-based BIM teams and drive digital delivery革.

• Design and 3D‑model Power Distribution, Circuiting, Conduit Runs, Grounding, Lighting, Fire Alarm Systems.
• Support engineers with system calculations, equipment selection, and lighting-control integration.
• Follow GTA M&E Digital Standards and automation procedures for quality and consistency.
• Mentor BIM teams to elevate digital delivery capabilities.
• Assist with project setup and collaborate with the project setup team.
• Coordinate with offshore BIM/design team in India to optimize multi-regional workflow.
• Contribute to development of advanced digital tools for automated modeling.
• Stay updated on BIM, Revit, ACC, Dynamo trends.
• Work independently or with senior leads and engineers.

Your Impact

• Design and 3D‑model Power Distribution, Circuiting, Conduit Runs, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Lighting Systems, Fixture Selection, Lighting Controls, and Fire Alarm Systems.
• Support Electrical Engineers and Lighting Designers with system calculations, equipment selection, and lighting‑control integration.
• Follow the GTA M&E Digital Standards and Automation Procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
• Mentor, guide, and support Revit‑based BIM teams to elevate digital delivery capabilities.
• Support corporate BIM standards, workflows, and production through technology-driven methods.
• Assist with project setup and collaborate closely with the project setup team.
• Coordinate daily with WSP’s offshore BIM/design team in India to optimize multi‑regional workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate in the development of advanced digital tools enabling more automated and efficient modeling operations.
• Stay current with evolving BIM, Revit, ACC, Dynamo, and related digital delivery trends.
• Work independently or collaboratively under the direction of senior technical leads and engineers.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in Electrical and Lighting design using CAD and advanced BIM 3D Revit modeling in a consulting office.
• Superior proficiency in Revit 3D Modeling, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and BIM add‑ins; Autodesk Revit Certification is considered an asset.
• Experience supporting regional or national BIM standards and contributing to design automation initiatives.
• Strong ability to champion digital delivery technologies and help teams adopt smarter, automated workflows.
• Knowledge of Navisworks and Dynamo scripting for workflow optimization.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bentley MicroStation.
• Organized, self‑driven, methodical, and able to perform under project‑delivery pressures.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:

$89,800 – $118,900

MB & ON:

$81,900 – $112,800
