A Métis-led early learning program in Mission seeks a Senior Early Childhood Educator. The candidate will lead a team to deliver inclusive education for children aged 0-5, ensuring their development through culturally grounded programming. Ideal candidates must possess multiple ECE certifications and have two years of relevant experience. The position offers a salary of $28.50 - $30.50 per hour and benefits including a pension plan.

Growing Roots is a no-fee Métis-led early learning program offering 8 infant / toddler and 16 preschool spaces located on the school grounds of West Heights Elementary School in Mission BC on the lands of the Stó : lÅ People. Fully funded by Métis Nation BC and supported by the Mission School District and Fraser Valley Métis Association we provide culturally rich play-based care grounded in Métis values for Métis First Nations Inuit and community children.

As a Senior Early Childhood Educator youll lead a team in delivering inclusive culturally grounded programming for children aged 05. Youll support childrens development through play connection and community collaboration.
Reports To : Childcare Facility Manager (Mission)
This position requires the ability to function independently while managing the multiple needs of young children working collaboratively with other adults including effectively managing all situations including emergencies. Program delivery activities may require a moderate level of physical fitness to effectively carry out the duties of the position.

$28.50 - $30.50 per hour (not eligible for wage enhancement under this funding model)
