Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Greater Madawaska, Ontario is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent to lead E&I supervision in a large-scale pulp and paper manufacturing operation. Responsibilities include championing safety culture, coordinating maintenance activities, and developing teams. The ideal candidate has a degree in a technical field, over 5 years of supervisory experience in the industry, and proven leadership skills. This role is essential for ensuring safe and reliable execution across all mill operations.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership.
  • Lead and support E&I supervisors through daily planning.
  • Coordinate E&I maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure adequate resources, tools, and support are in place.
  • Own and support preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Participate in daily production meetings for planning.
  • Partner with external service providers for quality work.
  • Ensure employees receive appropriate training.
  • Participate in labor relations discussions.
  • Provide leadership oversight during major shutdown activities.
