Position Details

Position: Senior Duty Security guard


Site: Ontario Shores


Pay Rate: $23.91 - $25.38 (Based on Levelling System)


Hours: Continental Rotation (0700/1900-1900-0700)


Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours


Internal Posting Date: October 27, 2025


Internal Closing Date: October 31, 2025


Job Description:


Working on assigned shifts, you will work full time shifts providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner. You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance. In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.


This position is a high-caliber position and will also include the following responsibilities:



  • Working on assigned shifts

  • Work 12-hour shifts providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents.

  • Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift.

  • Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and hospital security policies and procedures.

  • Plans and implements shift work schedules.

  • Required to write reports and investigate routine incidents.

  • Respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner.

  • Display excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance.

  • In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time


Qualifications:



  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario

  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)

  • Covid Vaccine two doses

  • Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test

  • N95 Mask Fit Requirement

  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a Healthcare security role is required

  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)

  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

  • Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
