Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking a Senior Draftsperson to create detailed technical drawings for commercial windows and doors in Mississauga. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of AutoCAD drafting experience and strong attention to detail. Senior Draftsperson needed in Mississauga

Salary based on experience

Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm (Overtime offered when needed)

Responsibilities :
  • AutoCAD drafter for Commercial Windows and Doors
  • Create precise technical drawings and plans for commercial windows, doors and curtain wall systems
  • Work closely with estimating and shop Foreman
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
  • Minimum 3 years AutoCAD drafting creating detailed shop drawings for aluminum windows, doors, curtain walls and storefront systems
  • Experience preparing hardware schedules and identifying field vs. shop components
  • AutoCAD software – 2D essential, 3D an asset
  • Knowledge of estimating and QuickBooks a bonus
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, produce accurate fabrication and installation drawings including sections, elevations, and details
  • Familiarity with major aluminum systems such as Kawneer, Alumicor, Hydro or PC350
  • Understanding of anodized and painted finishes, thermal breaks and glass specifications
  • Solid grasp of commercial glazing, framing installation and fabrication methods
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy
  • Strong file management and layer control in CAD drawings
