Job summary

Tangerine is seeking a Sr. Director of Wealth Engineering to set vision and guide architecture for a multi-disciplinary tech team delivering digital wealth products.

You will lead agile delivery, shape engineering culture, and collaborate with Digital Wealth Leaders across regions to drive impactful innovations in banking technology.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a leadership role managing large enterprise technology projects and programs.
• 5+ years in Wealth Management/investment industry.
• Expert knowledge of software development and design principles for scalable enterprise stacks.
• Expert knowledge of modern agile principles and full stack technologies.
• Able to adapt to evolving environments and rapidly learn new skills.
• Strong leadership and relationship-building capabilities.
• Extensive experience with automation, deployment and testing at scale.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to semi-technical audiences.

The Sr. Director of Wealth Engineering will set the vision, guide architecture, set the proper engineering culture and enable a multi-disciplinary technology team to bring industry-leading digital products and experiences to market through agile practices.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Oversee the design, development, deployment, and operationalization of highly scalable & sustainable enterprise-wide technology internal products, components, and tools to support the overall digital ecosystem.
• In close collaboration with Digital Wealth Leaders (e.g. Engineering, Design, Product, Analytics, Delivery), lead execution against identified digital capabilities roadmaps and vision through agile software delivery and enabling a high velocity engineering environment.
• Promote co-creation and reusability on a global scale working with different teams in different countries to accelerate futures software developments.
• Build a high-performance environment, engineering culture and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their Community of Practice by fostering an inclusive work environment and communicating vision/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

• 10+ years’ experience in a leadership role managing large complex enterprise-level technology projects and programs with significant technology and operational components
• 5+ years in Wealth Management businesses/investment industry
• Expert knowledge of software development and design principles for highly scalable, enterprise level technology stacks
• Expert knowledge in modern agile principles and in a range of modern technologies and frameworks including working knowledge of the full stack
• Flexibility to adapt to new and evolving environments and a demonstrated willingness and aptitude for picking new things up quickly
• Strong leadership and relationship building skills
• Extensive experience with automation, deployment and testing practices at scale
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to semi-technical audiences
