Qualifications

15+ years heavy civil construction experience.
Experience in tunneling or large infrastructure projects.
Overseeing large multidisciplinary teams and multiple concurrent projects.
Strong leadership, communication and organizational capabilities.
Experience with PPP/P3 or Design-Build delivery models.
KPIs, forecasting, and execution systems experience.

We are seeking a highly experienced operational leader to support and scale our Tunnel & Underground Major Projects Division across Canada. This leadership role is responsible for operational excellence, project governance, execution consistency, portfolio oversight, and integration between operations, engineering, estimating, and project controls.

Responsibilities

Lead operational governance and execution oversight across a portfolio of major tunnel and underground projects.
Drive operational excellence, forecasting discipline, and performance consistency.
Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Directors and operational teams.
Support strategic growth, pursuits, and organizational scalability.
Oversee operational performance across multiple active projects and Joint Ventures.
Standardize project reporting, forecasting, production tracking, and operational review processes.
Lead operational reviews and identify emerging project risks early.
Support estimating and pre construction activities including go/no-go reviews and execution planning.
Coordinate resource planning across projects and pursuits.
Drive implementation of operational KPIs and performance dashboards.

Requirements

15+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
Significant experience in tunneling, underground construction, trenchless, or major infrastructure projects.
Experience overseeing large multidisciplinary teams and multiple concurrent projects.
Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, forecasting, estimating, and execution.
Experience working within Joint Venture project environments.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation considered an asset.
Experience with PPP/P3, Design-Build, or Alliance delivery models.
Experience implementing operational systems and KPI frameworks.
Experience scaling operations within a growing organization
