Job summary

WSP in Canada seeks a Senior Director to lead the Mechanical & Electrical engineering team across the GTA. You will shape strategy, elevate technical excellence, and drive innovation across transportation, healthcare, institutional, and commercial sectors while building lasting client relationships and empowering high-performing teams.

You will oversee major pursuits and projects over $1M, mentor future leaders, and collaborate with national M&E leaders to drive best practices and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • P.Eng. designation required.
  • 15+ years of progressive M&E experience including senior leadership.
  • Direct M&E experience in transportation and aviation projects.
  • Proven track record managing large multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong business acumen and client-facing experience.
  • Deep technical expertise in M&E systems and building design.
  • Active engagement with professional bodies (ASHRAE, ACEC, ASPE).
  • Ability to lead high-performing teams in a matrix organization.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in M&E engineering, including senior leadership roles
  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering direct experience in transportation and aviation projects
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multidisciplinary engineering projects
  • Strong business and commercial acumen with proven client-facing experience
  • Deep technical expertise in M&E systems and building design practices
  • Established industry presence, including engagement with organizations such as ASHRAE, ACEC, ASPE
  • Ability to lead high-performing teams and influence across a matrix organization
Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $177,000 - 234,000

MB & ON: $161,500 - 222,300

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: 159,900 - 212,300
