The Work

The Senior Director, Enterprise Execution is responsible for helping EQB translate strategic priorities into business outcomes.

Working directly with executive leaders across the organization, this role leads a focused portfolio of the Bank's most important enterprise initiatives and strategic priorities. These are high-impact, cross-functional efforts that are critical to delivering EQB's strategy, growth ambitions, and financial objectives. The role serves as a bridge between strategy, execution, and outcomes, ensuring that the Bank's biggest priorities maintain momentum, overcome obstacles, and deliver the impact they were intended to achieve.

Enterprise Execution acts as an execution partner to leadership, bringing structured problem-solving, strategic thinking, and execution discipline to a select group of enterprise priorities. The role combines elements of strategy execution, enterprise leadership, organizational effectiveness, and executive problem-solving, helping translate strategic ambition into measurable results.

The ideal candidate combines the structured problem-solving capabilities of a top-tier strategy consultant with the practical execution mindset of an experienced operator. They are highly comfortable working in ambiguous situations, quickly building credibility with senior stakeholders, and driving progress on complex challenges that cut across multiple business units. They are intellectually curious, commercially minded, and action-oriented. They know how to move seamlessly between strategy and execution, challenge and support, analysis and action. Most importantly, they have a demonstrated ability to help organizations deliver on their most important priorities and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Strategic Initiative Leadership & Enterprise Priorities (55%)
  • Lead a portfolio of EQB's highest-priority enterprise initiatives and strategic priorities, including CEO- and CFO-sponsored programs.
  • Partner directly with executive sponsors and act as a trusted advisor to mobilize, accelerate, and deliver initiatives that are critical to achieving the Bank's strategic and financial objectives.
  • Provide hands‑on leadership for complex cross‑functional initiatives requiring enterprise coordination, senior stakeholder alignment, and disciplined execution.
  • Shape implementation approaches, execution strategies, operating models, and delivery plans to maximize organizational impact.
  • Challenge assumptions, strengthen plans, and improve decision‑making through structured problem solving and rigorous analysis.
  • Identify and resolve issues, risks, dependencies, and organizational barriers that could impede successful execution.
  • Bring an enterprise‑wide perspective that helps ensure initiatives advance broader corporate objectives.
Strategic Execution & Outcome Realization (25%)
  • Ensure approved business cases and strategic objectives translate into measurable business, customer, operational, and financial outcomes.
  • Partner with initiative leaders to strengthen execution plans and improve the likelihood of successful outcomes.
  • Identify emerging risks, dependencies, and barriers requiring intervention and help drive resolution.
  • Provide executive visibility into initiative progress, key decisions, and areas requiring leadership attention.
  • Work closely with Finance, initiative owners, and business leaders to understand expected versus realized outcomes and identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Conduct initiative reviews and post-implementation assessments to reinforce accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of disciplined execution and ownership across enterprise priorities.
Enterprise Planning & Prioritization (10%)
  • Lead the annual enterprise initiative prioritization process as part of EQB's strategic planning cycle.
  • Partner with business leaders, Finance, and Strategy teams to identify, evaluate, and prioritize initiatives requiring investment and organizational capacity.
  • Facilitate discussions regarding sequencing, trade-offs, resource allocation, and execution readiness.
  • Develop an integrated view of enterprise priorities, dependencies, and investment requirements to support executive decision‑making.
  • Help ensure organizational focus remains concentrated on initiatives that create the greatest strategic impact.
Executive & Board Effectiveness (10%)
  • Help ensure EQB's most important strategic priorities, enterprise initiatives, and investment decisions are supported by clear, aligned, and decision‑ready executive and Board materials.
  • Partner with senior leaders across the organization to elevate the quality, consistency, and strategic coherence of materials presented to Executive Leadership Team and Board forums.
  • Ensure major strategic discussions are informed by a cohesive enterprise perspective and supported by fact‑based, well‑structured recommendations.
  • Challenge gaps, inconsistencies, duplication, and disconnects across strategic updates, investment proposals, and enterprise initiatives before they reach decision‑making forums.
  • Support major strategic planning sessions, Board strategy discussions, and executive reviews by helping ensure discussions remain focused on decisions, outcomes, and enterprise priorities.
  • Act as a steward of excellence for the Bank's most important leadership discussions and governance forums.
Let's Talk About You!

  • Strong commercial, financial, and operational acumen.
  • Proven ability to drive alignment, solve complex problems, and deliver results without direct authority.
