We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing DevOps team at Flexera (Spot). This is a great opportunity to advance your career in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working on a cutting-edge Software as a Service (SaaS) platform.

As part of this role, you’ll work on Kubernetes-based infrastructure environments designed for 99.99% SLA, ensuring high availability and resilience. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide, contributing to global-scale solutions and DevOps excellence.

Role Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will lead and support the development and operations of cloud-based services and infrastructure. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced engineers across teams and take ownership of complex systems, while continuing to deepen your expertise with modern DevOps tools and practices.

Key Responsibilities

• DevOps engineering for critical, high-availability, cloud-scale services and APIs
• Work as part of a development team involved in: internal and external infrastructure-related guidance; supporting Spot’s internal stakeholders with DevOps needs
• Build and release complex infrastructure using the latest infrastructure-as-code tools
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and ensure system reliability
• Lead complex integration processes across services and environments
• Participate in all development stages – from design to deployment
• Deploy and monitor real-time customer cloud management systems using the latest AWS and Azure technologies
• Write clear, effective documentation for infrastructure, processes, and systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in large scale, distributed server side, DevOps engineering
• 2+ years of experience and extensive knowledge in containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes
• 3+ years of experience working with AWS
• Strong experience in Linux configuration, administration, networking, scripting, and troubleshooting
• DevOps engineering for high-availability, cloud-scale services and APIs
• Work as part of a development team to guide, support, build and release automation, deployment and system reliability
• Take part in all development stages – from design to deployment
• Write effective documentation
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; coordinate complex projects, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with remote teams

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Azure
• Experience with Python coding
• Experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Argo CD/Rollouts and similar technologies
• Experience in MySQL (Aurora Clustering) and NoSQL administration (MongoDB / TimescaleDB / RabbitMQ / Redis)
• Hands-on Experience with Elasticsearch infrastructure and configuration
