Overview

Insurity’s Next Senior Developer

As a Senior Developer in our Circ organization, you will be part of an Agile team supporting Insurity’s Policy Administration System. You will collaborate with a cross-functional development team to design and implement new features, enhance existing functionality, resolve defects, and drive innovation across our product. This role also offers the opportunity to leverage knowledge of Artificial Intelligence to contribute to the development of intelligent features and improved automation. We’re looking for a forward-thinking, motivated software developer who is passionate about technology, eager to learn from challenges, and excited to grow with Insurity while helping our customers succeed.

What Our Senior Developer Will Do
  • Provide technical feedback during Release Planning, Team Refinements including sizing/estimating stories
  • Actively participate in Daily Stand-ups
  • Actively participate and contribute to technical design discussions and decisions around designing new features
  • Develop new features and modify existing features within our Policy Admin product
  • Contribute to quality by performing effective unit testing to validate code
  • Assist team with testing when needed
  • Provide peer-review of designs, code, and artifact delivery
Who We’re Looking For
  • 3-5 years of software development experience recommended
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (equivalent work experience may be considered)
  • Proficiency with Object Oriented principles, SOLID principles, Data Structures, Databases, XML/JSON, VB.NET, C#
  • Knowledge of P&C insurance concepts is a plus (training will be provided otherwise)
  • Comfortable working collaboratively through code reviews, both giving and receiving
  • Ability to write modular, well-tested, and maintainable code. Comfortable advocating for improvements including technical debt
  • Ability to be proactive, work independently, manage time effectively and thrive in a team environment
  • Nice to have: Experience in software development using the Agile/SAFe methodology

We continuously analyze and update our salary ranges for our roles according to market trends to not only ensure our employees are paid fairly, but also help close gender, race, and disability wage gaps. Along with the benefits listed above, the salary range for this role is $75,000 to $135,000, commensurate with experience.

Languages for Québec candidates: The knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec. The English language is required for this position in order to communicate with clients, partners, and colleagues, who are strictly located outside of Québec. French-language training will be offered to candidates who do not have a good knowledge of French.
