Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Ontario is seeking a Senior Designer for its North America Design Group. This full-time, in-office position in Sudbury involves producing piping and mechanical drawings for the mining industry, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Candidates should have extensive drafting experience, particularly with Autodesk Plant 3D and AutoCAD, alongside strong leadership and communication skills. The role also includes mentoring junior staff and may require occasional travel to domestic and international sites for project needs.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in heavy engineering or mining environments.
• 5+ years experience with Autodesk Plant 3D.
• 10+ years experience with AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Utilize 3D drawing software for detailed design.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Interact with clients to gather project requirements.
• Deliver professional drawings meeting established standards.
