Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DataStage Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL development using IBM DataStage, along with expertise in SQL, UNIX/Linux scripting, and data warehousing concepts. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes to support enterprise data integration and analytics initiatives.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL processes using IBM DataStage.
• Analyze complex data requirements and translate them into scalable ETL solutions.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Develop and maintain UNIX shell scripts to support ETL workflows.
• Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Optimize ETL performance and troubleshoot data issues.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across all stages of the ETL process.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and deployment activities.
• Provide production support and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.

What you need to have to be considered

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in IBM DataStage development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle, DB2, or other RDBMS).
• Solid experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
• In‑depth understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Zeke , JCL, Stone Branch) is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
