Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior data scientist to identify high-potential AI, analytics, and automation use cases within Finance, assess feasibility, and design fast proofs of concept and MVPs.

You will develop models and AI agents for Finance, test new technologies, analyze data for trends and risks, and ensure responsible, secure, compliant solutions that can be productionized with technology teams. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will translate business needs into actionable data products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, AI, ML or related field.
• Minimum six years of data science experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering proofs of concept in short cycles.
• Experience designing models and AI solutions, including generative AI.
• French language proficiency required.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of Finance processes and data terminology.

Job description

• Assess technical feasibility, business value, and adoption potential to prioritize initiatives


• Design and develop proofs of concept, pilots, and MVPs within a few weeks to validate or reject hypotheses


• Develop models, algorithms, and AI agents for Finance teams


• Explore, test, and compare new AI technologies to inform technology choices


• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities


• Support Finance teams in experimenting with and adopting solutions and act as an AI resource


• Ensure responsible, secure, and compliant use of data and AI solutions


• Prepare validated solutions for production with relevant technology teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning or a related field


• A minimum of six years of relevant experience related to data science


• Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered


• Hands-on experience delivering proofs of concept or experimental projects in short cycles, from business need to demonstration of value


• Experience designing models, data products, and artificial intelligence solutions, including generative AI or AI agents


• Experience explaining complex technical concepts and influencing decisions among non-technical stakeholders


• Knowledge of French is required


• Proficiency in Python, key data processing and analysis libraries, and SQL


• Knowledge of the Finance function, including accounting, financial control, and financial planning and analysis, or work experience supporting these areas


• Knowledge of financial processes, data, and terminology


• Proficiency analyzing and structuring ambiguous or poorly defined business problems
